Penguin Calendar 2020
A collective illustration calendar published in October 2019 by Beijing CITIC Publishing House.
In collaboration with Penguin Random House China for the Penguin Calendar 2020, I was responsible for the illustrations of September 2020. The works extend Penguin's iconic design, reinterpret the classic literature, and illustrate the essential solar terms and festivals.
The creation incorporated my unique ideas, i.e., the analysis of the relationships between characters, the combination of light and shadow, and the use of Rene Magritte's painting feature.
